Tool 2

I really enjoyed visiting my fellow Timber wolves' blogs to read about their experiences so far.  I felt a little better knowing that some others are struggling a bit with this too.  But I also got inspired with some great ideas from our really techy Timber wolves!  I got more excited about learning and trying new things when I saw some examples of what teachers have done with their students.  The book trailer that Jeanette posted and the Animoto presentations Annie posted really interested me.  This project has opened my eyes to what teachers are doing that I may not have been aware of because I did not work directly with them.  I think this 11 Tools project is going to enhance my instruction and make learning even more fun for my students!

I went out to a few blog sites and tried to search for others I might be interested in following.  I searched for special ed sites and struggling readers sites.  I will continue looking.  I wish that I had more time to explore!  Good thing summer is coming!

I would have liked to have seen the big picture of what I was going to learn and explore in this project before starting.  I'm the kind of learner who likes the big picture and then the details.

  1. I understand so well because I too like to know the big picture so I know where I'm going. Tool 3 is a bit of a challenge so if you try it and have trouble don't forget I'm having a session Tuesday after school. Working through the 11 Tools could take you down paths for days and days but stay focused for now and go back to explore over the summer.

  2. Thank you for visiting my blog. I am so excited that someone is actually reading it. Animoto is one of my favorite Web 2.0 tools because it is so user-friendly. Less clicks is the key to the ease. Well done. Keep posting!

  3. I think you are right Vicki. I hope this helps with my students learning. I am looking forward to using this in the classroom even it is a little overwhelming.
